LEAD GUITAR PLAYER

Wanted: LEAD GUITAR PLAYER - send pics, web pages, videos, etc. to: mj@michaeljentertainment.net   If you do not have any promo material, email or call MJ and discuss it with him.  We are looking for a specific look, so age is NOT an issue.   Attitude, passion and talent is the key!

We are looking for a guitar player who can play with a ROCK EDGE but yet have the country feel and twang when needed.  If you "finger pick" too, big plus. But if you don't, we will use sequences for that, the style with "an edge" is the priority.  You will be playing primarily the NEW COUNTRY (102.1), along with some rock & roll.  Michael J. will be hiring musicians who don't mind lowering keys.

-If you sing, that's a plus but not mandatory.

-Must enjoy interacting with Michael J. on stage.

Experience preferred.

Equipment you must own or get: Microphone, Mic stand and mic cable, if you sing. Guitar amp, guitar, cables, etc.  YOU MUST OWN A RELIABLE AUTOMOBILE.

Music: New Country -K102, 80s-90s Country, Southern & Classic variety rock & roll. Ballads and fun music. (80% New Country & Country) - We will be using sequences too.

The presentation of the band: is with Michael J. out front leading the way (similar to Garth Brooks), very audience aware and involved.  You will be spotlighted too.

Venues: OPENING NIGHT IS SEPT. 16TH - we need someone now! House gig starting Sept. 23rd and then EVERY Friday night starting in October in St. Michael, MN.  Other venues: Casinos, bars, nightclubs, etc.  We can come and go with the House gig so we can play other venues. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL ON THE WEEKENDS.

Pay: 5%-10% is taken off of gross nightly band pay for expenses, etc. and then money is split EVENLY 5-6 ways depending upon how many members we have in the band at that time.  6 is the goal but we might start with 5.  Projected pay for the House gig to begin with is: $63.00 - $75.00 per night. All pay figures is open to all band members.

-Casinos starting pay is usually around $1750.00 per weekend and goes up from there.  There will be weekend road work and we will eventually be working EVERY WEEKEND, with some week days thrown in there, now and again. We will keep the band in town as much as possible - depending upon money.  Generally speaking there is more money in casinos.

-You will be paid by check each week and at the end of each year you will be sent a 1099 for your tax reporting.

Even though you will be performing only 2-3 nights per week, Michael J. is from the school of "full time thinking".  In other words, this is a business and job and even though we can have fun doing it, we expect everybody to be professional at all times. You look out for MJ and he'll look out for you.
This is not looked upon as a hobby.
